A carbocation is molecule in which acarbon atom bears three bonds and apositive charge.Carbocations are generally unstable because they do not have eight electrons to satisfy the octet rule. the hybridisation of carbonwith positive charge would be sp2.

nickzammu: How is it sp2? Is it sp3 in the normal form?

In hybridisation, number of lone pair and number of bond pair is counted. so for the given carbocation:-the hybridisation of carbon with positive charge would be sp2.
