The native people of South
Africa were blacks and they made up to almost 3/4th of their population.
However, a large number of white people had settled there and became the local rulers.
After a new democratic
country had emerged, the black leaders urged their fellow black people to
forgive the white people for their atrocities.
They wanted to build a
country which offered equal rights and opportunities to everyone, irrespective
of race, religion, gender or color.
The South African
democracy provided its citizens with the most extensive rights, which made it
the most progressive Constitution in
the world.
