Coromandel fishers is a complicated yet very beautiful poem written by Sarojini Naidu. This poem depicts the bond between the fishermen of the Coromandel coast and the sea. In this poem, she has also compared between the life on land and the life at the sea. She has personified nature in the best possible way.
The poet expects that the fishermen should look at their hands because he wants them to stop hurting himself during the process of extracting salt from the sea and retrospect his heinous activity i.e. ruthless killing of whales.
The poetess also shows many sweet things like coconuts. It also shows how she encourages the fishermen to get along their work, enjoying it. She also depicts the beauty of the nature to the fishermen and again enthusiasm is identified in poem, for the fishermen to finish their work...
