It is concave mirror. Concave mirror converges the sun's rays which are coming from infinity. And we know that rays coming from infinity are parallel. So it converges all the coming rays directly onto the focus and provides huge amount of heat

the mirror is concave because it is a diverging mirror which emits light from sun for cooking
