This excerpt is from the short story “Two stories about Flying”. Frederick Forsyth was the pilot who describes his strange flight experience he had in this story. The story is about a pilot who lost in to dark cloud during his flight from Paris to London and guided by a strange airplane that had appeared in the middle of that cloud.

When Dakota took off from Paris, dark clouds prevailed the sky and the situation got worse when Dakota moved further. The narrator was flying in a Dakota Airplane which is a military transport vehicle.
