My family is going through a tough financial crisis, my father had to take some bold decisions. There were so many nasty rumours airing in our community regarding our problems and how we got into it.

One day I asked my father,

Papa, don't you feel sad when people talk so much bad about you and spread irrelevant rumours.

To which he replied,

I'll tell you an incident about a couple who were going somewhere on their donkey.

While they were passing the colony, some people murmured, “look at them, they'll kill this poor donkey with overload”.

So the wife gets off the donkey while the husband remain seated.

After some time they hear people say, “look at this arrogant man, he himself is riding on the donkey while the poor wife is walking”.

So he exchanged the place with his wife.

To this the society reacted by saying, “look at this wife, she's so dominant and controls his husband”.

After this both of them started walking along with the donkey.

To this people reacted by saying, “look at these fools, they have a donkey and they are still walking”.

My father explained me that no matter what you do, you won't be able to make everybody satisfied in the society.

So we're living in a society who doesn't want to grow and who'll try hard to stop anyone else from growing.

People talk irrespective of what you achieve.
