• Certain professions require gender characteristics in them. Teachers and Nurses are widely occupied by Women.
• Women are more compassionate and generous in nature which is required for these professions.
• During British rule, western educators were mostly women. They were the ones who carried forward the teaching profession.
• Similarly, Health missionaries were also brought by them. Men occupied the senior positions like Doctors, Scientist. Then the remaining positions like Nurses, Dispensary workers were occupied by women.
