- After Prophet Muhammad's (s.a.w.) death people, who were not really the follower of Prophet Muhammad's (s.a.w.) and just pretended to be one of his believers in his time, diverted back to their own beliefs.
- Although Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) had already announced his successor Hazrat Ali (a.s.) in Field of Ghadeer after God's order, some people did not follow his words after his death and elected the Caliph among themselves.
- This resulted in rift as well as the division of Islam into many sects. The result was injustice and cruelty to Prophet Muhammad's (s.a.w.) daughter and her family after him.
