what least number must be added to 5607 to make the sum a perfect square. find the square root of the perfect square number so obtained.

We find √5607 by long division method. The remainder is 131.   This shows that 74²<5607. Next perfect square number is 75²= 5625  Hence the number to be added is 75²-5607 = 5625 -5607 =18
