Answer

Classical physics failed to exaplain,

  • The nature of emissions of radiation from hot bodies (black body radiation)

  • Ejection of electrons from metal surfaces when radiation strikes it (photoelectric effect)

  • Variation of heat capacity of solids as a function of temperature

  • Line spectra of atoms with special reference to hydrogen

These concepts were better explained with quantization which lead to quantum physics

Required Answer :-

The major failure of classical mechanics are

  • temperature dependence of heat capacity of the substance
  • Radiation of black body
  • The effect of photoelectric

The following statement and theory were not able to explain through the use of classical mechanics. Due to it Niels Bohr and Max Planck founded the quantum mechanics and it is better explained in quantum mechanics.
