the moderated and radical were split in the year 1907 as the radicals took swaraj to mean for total domination while the moderates saw it as an increased role for the indians in the British GOVERNMENT. The moderates accepted the swaraj movement but refused to boycott the British goods as they thought it would embitter the relations between British and indians.
