Story of tea is five thousand years old and full of intricacies.  

It started in China in the year 2737 BC.

Legend states that Chineese emperor Shen Nung while taking walk in countryside one day paused to rest under a tree and boil himself cup of water for drinking.  

During that moment burst of wind shook tree branch above him and brought many leaves into boiling water.

Leaves gave water pleasant taste and goldish colour.  

Emperor enjoyed discovered tea so much that he refilled it.  

Tree he was sitting underneath was a tea plant.  

Legendary moment marked birth of tea.

Chinese Legend is that once a few leaves of the twigs burning under the pot fell into the water and gave a delicious flavour : it is said that they were used as tea leaves according to the Indian legend , Bodhidharma cut off his eyelids because he felt sleepy during meditation. Ten tea plants which grew out of the eyelids, when boiled in water and drunk, banished his sleep .
