Because we can write anything on paper and it won't complain.

People, on the other hand, won't be patient enough to listen to what we say because they are usually busy.

Anne cannot tell people things from her heart, while she won't have to worry about that while writing on paper

What she said is true, because, in our daily life, we will not be able to tell people all that we want to, because everyone is busy and probably won't be there to hear you until you finish.

But there are no problems like that with paper as it will always be there for you to open your heart and write anything you want to write, even if what you write is boring.

Answer:

Anne says "Paper has more patience than people", as a diary is something in which a person can openly write about their emotions, feelings and thoughts without being judged or questioned.

Whereas people are judgemental by nature and aren't patient enough to understand the musings of a 13-year-old, and will be quick to shut her down. People are too lost in their own world and problems to bother listening to the sorrows of a child.

Though Anne has about 30 people she can call friends, all she can think about while hanging out with them is to have a good time. She's reluctant when it comes to sharing her sentiments with her friends.

On the other hand, a diary is an inanimate object where Anne can inscribe her feelings as she pleases without any hesitation. She can pour out her thoughts and emotions openly, which one might find uncomfortable sharing with people due to the fear of being judged.
