In direct democracy people were empowered to take part in every government decision. four pillars of direct democracy are referendum,recall, plebiscite and intiative which give people power to decide on government policies and law example Switzerland. Indirect democracy is one where people select one representative from their community or selected area who is liable to govern on their behalf, Example India.
