Ah.... Nirvana!!!
So, I don't know what other people think as everyone has a different perspective but I'll write what I felt.
Nirvana is heavily influenced by the life and suffering of Kurt Cobain. The most tragic incident of Kurt's life was his parents divorce when he was just 9. He was great at art from start. His drawings were exceptionally well since the very dawn of his kindergarten life.
In his high school, he was abandoned by boys so he used to hang out with the girls. This grew his respect and love for the girls. He found girls suppressed by the male dominated world.
He once said in an interview that he found Led Zeppelin and other great rock artists sexist. He found that they were just objectifying girls.
Nirvana's lyrics are still a mystery and nobody actually knows what they meant.
This reminds me of the song 'In bloom'. The lyrics are like this:
'He's the one, who likes all our pretty songs,
And he likes to shoot his gun,
And he likes to sing along,
But he, knows not what it means."

Clearly, no one knows what the lyrics actually meant and Kurt himself said not to think too seriously about his lyrics.
Nirvana's music actually set the grunge on fire. He popularized the grunge which was not that well known at that time.
Nirvana did what they wanted to do and not what the producers want them to do. They even butchered their own song at a show because the producers wanted them to just lip sync to the song.
Nirvana made me feel good. They helped to actually channel my rage that made me open minded and curious for the knowledge.
Nirvana is, was and will be the best to me.
