Answer:Pollution of rivers is a major problem in India. The measures that are being taken to control pollution in the rivers of India are as follows :-

i) Factories and industries should be located far away from rivers.

ii) If there is an emergency of locating factories near rivers then the waste materials, sewage and chemicals should be treated properly and then released in rivers.

iii) People should not be allowed to bath or wash clothes or wash animals in the river by the government.

iv) People should not be allowed to throw any plastic items.
