we use metallic radius and covalent radius method.....
it is simple.
we measure distance between 2 nucleus which are bonded with each othe and divide it with 2..which gives approximate atomic radius....

Another way is.....atomic radius increased for top to bottom and decreases from left to right in periodic table.....

atomic size is directly proportional to atomic radius.
