●One method to find volume of banana is ,

•Measure 800ml of water in a 1000ml measuring container.

•Keep banana in container .

•Record rise of water of definite volume.

•Rise in volume is the volume of banana in mL.

•If the rise we get is about the volume of say, 100mL,

•Converting it to m^3 ,

Example,1m^3 = 1000litres =10^6 mL

Thus,100mL=( 1×10^-4)m^3.

●Another method to find volume of banana is by dividing to symmetrical regular shapes and adding.

◆Bananas are on approximate hemispheres at top and bottom of cylinder.

◆h - height of the cylinder

◆ r -radius of the cylinder, sphere

◆volume of hemi sphere = (2/3)πr^3

◆volume of cylinder = πr^2h

◆Volume = volume of hemi sphere ×2 + volume of cylinder.

◆On substitution,

Volume ,V = (2/3)πr^3 ×2 + πr^2h

◆V= πr^2(4/3r + h).
