Brain Drain is best reversed when one feels genuine love towards one's nation in one's heart and soul. Schools can play a pivotal role in reversing the trend since schools are the education centres where a child receives knowledge that later equips him with the skills he needs to acquire the best opportunities he receives in life, even if they lie abroad.

When schools teach children the problems that confront the nation, the miseries of the millions of citizens and the issues that they face everyday, children will not only be inspired to seek solutions to the problems but will also be motivated to do their bit for their motherland.

The solution lies in schools realising that they are not merely knowledge imparting centres, but, the first point of contact of a child with the world beyond. Tell them tales of their beloved land, and the miseries of their countrymen, and the child would use his knowledge and skills to serve his nation, instead of merely accumulating wealth in the manner of a misdirected citizen.

Brain drain is like a termite that allows the talent of a nation to benefit other nations than one's nation as he/she decides to work in the other country, adding to their resources and achievements. To solve this problem, the schools in our nation can play a very important part by instilling in the young minds love for their nation and to take pride in our nationality. They should be made to realize that their motherland needs them more than the other nation where they may get better earnings but not the status. They should be sensitized about how much their endeavors and work are needed in their own country which should not leave for petty material gains. They should have the feeling of patriotism and school curriculum should include instances from the history that bring them closer to their motherland.
