Akbar removed the pilgrimage taxes that were puttting unnecessary burden on the common people whenever they went to a pilgrimage.

The second jaziya tax was also imposed on the hindus whenever they went to a place of worship, this was done to convert them into Muslims. this was abolished by him too.

Akbar was the first ruler to appoint hindus in his court, out of his navrathnas (9 jewels), Raja Birbal, Raja Man Singh, Raja Todramal were all from the hindu community.

Akbar prohibited child marriage in his rule, where he increased the age of marriage for girls to 14 years and for boys to 16 years.
