Mrs. Packletide was motivated by sheer dislike for Loona. The only motive for her action was jealosy and vanity. She came to know that her friend Loona Bimberton had recently been carried eleven miles in an aeroplane by an Algerian aviator. She was smitten with great jealousy. Mrs.Packletide wanted to outshine her. She had a strong desire to do something for belittling Loona's adventure. So she decided to hunt a tiger and to procure his skin. If successful in doing so, her photographs would appear in the papers.
