Now according to the question condition,

(49 + x )/(68 + x )= 3/4

Multiple to ecah other we get,

4(49 + x ) = 3(68 + x )

4 × 49 + 4x = 3 × 68 + 3x

4x - 3x = 204 - 196

x = 8 is the right and final answer.

Now put the value of x in above given condition.

(49 + x )/(68 + x )= 3/4

(49 + 8 )/ (68 + 8) = 3/4

57 / 76 = 3/4

3/4 = 3/4

L.H.S. = R.H.S.
