Let the number be x

According to the question

6 \frac{4}{5}  + x = 2  \frac{7}{10}  \\  \frac{34}{5}  + x =  \frac{27}{10}  \\ x =  \frac{27}{10}  -   \frac{34}{5}  \\ x =  \frac{27 - 68}{10}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 41}{10}  \\ x =  - 4 \frac{1}{10}
