NAND gate is a digital logic gate. N stands for Not.  So it is Not of AND gate output.

It is a part of digital logic system. It is implemented in electronic hardware on integrated chips. All computers or calculators use this gate.

NAND gate is used to obtain a digital output which is false (or low or zero) only when all the inputs are true (or high or 1).

See the diagram.

A nand gate can have multiple inputs like 1 or 2 or 3 or more. The output is a logical inversion of the product of its inputs. It is also called the Universal gate. Because all other gates can be expressed in terms of Nand gate.
