 =  >  \frac{ - 4}{7}  + x =  \frac{ - 3}{8}  \\  =  > x =  \frac{ - 3}{8}  -  \frac{ - 4}{7}  \\  =  > x =  \frac{ - 21 - ( - 32)}{56}
 =  > x =  \frac{ - 21 + 32}{56}  \\  =  >  x =   \frac{11}{56}
Hence,the number which must be added to -4/7 to set -3/8 is 11/56
