For added case - let x be the no added

Therefore equation will be
11+x / 9+x = 6/5
Cross multiply
5*( 11+x) = 6*(9+x)
55 + 5x = 54 + 6x
X = 1

1 Should be added to each term of 11 : 9 so that it becomes 6:5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say number Should be added = X in  each term of 11 : 9 so that it becomes 6 : 5

=> 11 + X :  9 + X  = 6 : 5

=> (11 + X) / (9 + X) = 6/5

=> 5 (11 + X) = 6( 9 + X)

=> 55 + 5X = 54 + 6X

=> 1 = X

=> X = 1

1 Should be added to each term of 11 : 9 so that it becomes 6:5

Let say Y should be subtracted  in  each term of 11 : 9 so that it becomes 6 : 5

=> (11 - Y)/(9 - Y) = 6/5

=> 55 - 5Y = 54 - 6Y

=> Y = - 1

-1  should be subtracted  in  each term of 11 : 9 so that it becomes 6 : 5
