Given-

  • A number that is added to-3/7 to get 1

Concept use-

  •  \bf \frac{ - 3}{7} + a \: number = 1

Solution-

  • Let the number be x

 \bf \frac{ - 3}{7}  + x = 1 \\  \implies  \bf\frac{ - 3 + 7x}{7}  = 1 \\  \implies \bf \:  - 3 + 7x = 7 \\  \implies \bf \: 7x = 7 + 3 \\  \implies \bf \: 7x = 10 \\  \implies \huge \underline{ \boxed{ \bf \:  x =  \frac{10}{7} }}

Hence the required number is 10/7 if u want to take this in the form of decimal then divide it

 \bf \: x =  \frac{10}{7} \\  \underbrace{ \boxed { \huge \bf \: x = 1.4285....}}

Verification

  \bf\frac{ - 3}{7} +  \frac{10}{7}   = 1 \\   \bf \implies  \frac{7}{7}  = 1 \\ 1 = 1

LHS=RHS

Hence proved
