The unknown number = x

According to the question ,

 \to \sf -  \frac{3}{2}  -  x =  \frac{5}{12}  \\  \\  \to \sf  - x =  \frac{5}{12} +  \frac{3}{2}   \\  \\  \to \sf  - x =  \frac{5 + 18}{12}  \\  \\ \to \sf  x =  -  \frac{23}{12}

 \therefore The required number is -23/12
