Given - Number to be subtracted from number : -3/5

Resultant number : -2

Find - Number to be subtracted from -3/5 to get -2.

Solution - Let the number that should be subtracted be X.

Now representing the given statement in equation form -

-3/5 -x = -2

-x = -2 + 3/5

Taking the L.C.M., we get 5. On further calculation we get -

-x = -10+3/5

-x = -7/5

X = 7/5.

Hence, 7/5 should be subtracted from -3/5 to get -2.
