The eqn. will be 3/5 -(x) = 5/3 ,

solving this ,

-x=-[(5/3) -(3/5)] =-[(25-9)/15] = -16/15

So , value of x should be equal to (-16/15) in order to get 5/3 , when subtracted from 3/5.

HOPE IT HELPS....

x -  \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{5}{3}

x =  \frac{5}{3}  +   \frac{ - 3}{5}

x =  \frac{5 \times 5 + 3 \times  - 3} {3 \times 5}

x =  \frac{25 +  - 9}{15}

x =  \frac{16}{15}

x =  \frac{2}{3}
