let , x should be added with -8/3 to get -7/2.

so ,

-8/3 + x = -7/2

x = -7/2 +8/3

x = (-21 +16)/6

x = -5/6

so -5/6 should be added .

means you have to substrate 5/6

Given:

Given numbers are -8/3 and -7/2.

To find:

The number should be added to -8/3 to get -7/2.

Solution:

To determine the number that should be added to -8/3 to get -7/2 we have to follow the below steps as follows-

Let x should be added to -8/3 to get -7/2.

Thus we can write-

 \frac{ - 8}{3}  + x =  \frac{ - 7}{2}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 7}{2}  +  \frac{8}{3} \\ x =  \frac{ - 21 + 16}{6}   \\ x =  \frac{ - 5}{6}

The value of x is -5/6.

So, -5/6 should be added to -8/3 to get -7/2.
