‘The diary of a young girl’ is written by Annie Frank. She is a Jewish girl who begins her diary entries when she got a diary on her 'thirteenth birthday'. During that period, 'World War II' was going on where Netherlands fell into the control of Nazis. Despite having a 'loving family', she feels alone and likes to pen down her feelings in a diary named Kitty.
Annie days that she had male admirers at school. There are neighbours who had unhealthy relations with others. She admits that several boys in her class have filthy minds.

This lesson is an excerpt from “Diary of a Young Girl” or “The Diary of Anne Frank”. It is an autobiography that was first published in 1947. In this, Anne expresses her thoughts in a diary which was gifted to her on her thirteenth birthday. She names the diary “kitty” which she considers as her only true friend. She mentions about her childhood, her family and a lot other things that she told no one else.
