Hi mate !!

The coordinates of origin are :- ( 0 , 0 )
x1 = 0
y1 = 0

Given coordinates :- ( x , y )

x2 = x
y2 = y

Using distance formula :-

distance \:  =  \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2}  +  {(y2 - y1)}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ {(x - 0)}^{2}  +  {(y - 0)}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ {x}^{2} +  {y}^{2}  }

distance \: is \:  \:  \sqrt{ {x}^{2} +  {y}^{2}  }

Points :- (x, y)

Origin :- (0,0)

By distance formula,

Distance =
 \sqrt{(x - 0)^{2}  + ( y - 0)^{2} }

Distance =
 \sqrt{ {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} }

I hope this will help you
