Concept

The least common multiple, lowest common multiple, or smallest common multiple of two numbers a and b, normally represented by lcm, is the smallest positive integer divisible both by a and b in arithmetic and number theory.

Given

The numbers 60,75,80,90 are given

Find

We have to find the LCM of given number

Solution

  • Write the given numbers 60,75,80,90 in row
  • Dividing the given numbers by prime numbers as long as at least two numbers are evenly divisible by that prime.
  • By bring down any numbers that are not evenly divisible by the current factor.
  • When there are no more primes that evenly divide into at least two numbers then we are done

LCM = 2 x 2 x 3 x 5 x 5 x 4 x 3

LCM = 3600

Therefore LCM (60,75,80,90) = 3600
