Space that we can see is mainly very very empty. If you ignore the galaxies and stars, then the rest of space is mainly a vacuum, so there's no particles at all. The particles that are there are mainly hydrogen and helium, which form a plasma called the Intergalactic Medium.

Divyanshusrivastava: so what made this vaccum ? can u answer this

The volume of interplanetary space is a nearly total vacuum, with a mean free path of about one astronomical unit at the orbital distance of the Earth. However, this space is not completely empty, and is sparsely filled with cosmic rays, which include ionized atomic nuclei and various subatomic particles. Basically they are made up of the elements helium and hydrogen.

Hope it helps...

Divyanshusrivastava: can you name that sub-atomic particles? please
Deeksha2007: Yaa sure
