Hi friend!

Answer:

80% and above includes those percentages — 80%, 90% and 100%.

4 students got between 80% and 89%.
8 students got between 90% and 99%.
2 students got 100%.

Total students who get 80% and above are 4 + 8 + 2.
4 + 8 + 2 = 14

14 students.

Therefore, 14 students earned an 80% or higher mark.

Now for the percentage of students:

Total students = 3 + 1 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 8 + 2 = 28
Students who got 80% or more = 14

Percentage:
\frac{14}{28} \times 100 \\ = \frac{\sout{14}^1}{1^{\sout{2}^{\sout{28}}}} \times \sout{100} 50 \\ = 50\% \\ \\ Therefore, \boxed{\huge{50\% of students}} \\ in the class earned \\ 80\% marks or more.
