1.Be careful that your hair doesn't fall on the microscope.(especially for girls)
2.Add glycerol to the cheek cell so that it won't get dried.
3.Dont touch unwanted things in the laboratory and maintain silence.

PRECAUTIONS :-
. ♦ do not scrap the cheek too hard as it may cause injury
. ♦ excess stain should be [taken] drained off.
. ♦ care should be taken to avoid air bubbles under the cover slip.
. ♦ scrapped material should be spread uniformly on the slide.
. ♦discard the toothpick properly after scrapping.
