Story telling is the best way to teach a student a concept. You need to tell stories that are appealing. Slow parts of the story must be eliminated so that it does not elongate and become monotonous.  We must use a strong and confident voice and if possible change over of voices for different characters of the story can be done in order to create a dramatic effect.

Use pauses wherever necessary so that you give time for the children to critically think of what they heard just then. Eye contact is necessary while telling a story. Fascial gestures add an aesthetic appeal and children try to understand better.

Avoid finishing the story with a moral as those types of stories are conventional. Make the climax open ended so that the children can draw out the conclusion. It would increase their imaginative and creative ability.
