Let the SP of article be rs x
SP = (P%+100)/100×CP
SP = (25+100)/100×880
SP = 125/100×880
SP = Rs 1100
Shopkeeper allows a discount of 12%
It means that after allowing the discount of 12% on the price of the article the new price will become Rs 1100
Let the price be a
a - 12a/100 = 1100
88a/100=1100
a = 110000/88 = Rs1250

gain =880×25%=220
actual sales price=880+220=1100
discount=1100×12/(100-12)=150
marked price=1100+150=1250
