Answer:

The price of the article is Rs.800.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A shopkeeper mark on an article which costs him Rs.600 to gain 20% after allowing a discount of 10%.

To find : What price should a shopkeeper mark on an article?

Solution :

CP= Rs.600

Gain = 20%

SP = \frac{G\%+100}{100}\times CP

SP = \frac{20+100}{100}\times 600

SP = 1.2\times 600

SP = Rs.720

Shopkeeper allows a discount of 10%

Let the price be x,

So, x-\frac{10x}{100}=720

\frac{9x}{10}=720

x=800

Therefore, The price of the article is Rs.800.

selling price= 100+20÷100×1500

= 120÷100×1500

= Rs.1800

selling price=100-10÷100×1800

=90÷100×1800

= Rs.1620
