When political leaders from different countries do the same thing, the effects may be would be worse, from severing diplomatic ties, sanctions, tradewars even military conflicts.

The biggest problem that I see is that people who are unethical — or even when they lack a documented ethic — they become untrustworthy. For example, when I study the candidates, I try to guess which one has his/her conscience bound by a documented ethic. Sometimes I am left without a choice! However, if a person’s conscience is bound by say something like the ten commandments or even the eightfold path — they are far to be approved than those who violate those ethics or have no documented ethic.
