Ignition Temperature or Kindling Temperature :

The minimum temperature to which a combustible substance must be heated , before it catches fire is called Ignition Temperature.

Generally room temperature is considered as 25 degrees Celsius. If ignition temperature is less than average room temperature then :

---> The fuel will burn spontaneously [No external agent is required to burn the fuel]

---> This kind of combustion is known as Spontaneous Combustion.

Examples:

When a Phosphorous is left out in the open at room temperate for some time , it burns by itself.

Forest fires and coal mines are also example of spontaneous combustion.
