For plant growth meristematic tissues are responsible.

Tissues:

  • In the tip roots, stem and branches are present.
  • These tissues are present in the cell constantly new cells are produce to divide.
  • To produce new cells the cells actively divide.
  • The plant grow up toward the sun and down into the soil  it helps the plant increase in length or vertical growth by Primary meristematic tissue.
  • Meristems also called meristematic tissue.
  • They can divide continuously but young and immature meristematic tissue are the cells.
  • Apical meristem is the example of primary meristem.
  • Fully developed and functional at maturity are meristematic cells they remain totipotent in the plant of unlike other cells.
  • Incompletely differentiated or undifferentiated meristematic cells.
