The intensity of earth's magnetic field is maximum at its magnetic poles and minimum at the earth's magnetic equator. Therefore, the angle of dip is zero at the magnetic equator and 90 degrees at the magnetic poles. The lines joining the places where the angle of inclination or dip is same is called isoclinic lines.
