2-he insisted that caste,creed or gender was irrelevant for attaining liberation.

3-he taught nam,dan,isnan.

4-his teachings are now remembered as nam-japna,kirt-karna and vand-chhakna.

Principles of Guru Nanak are:
1).God is one.
2).Ego is deterrent of spritual progress.
3).All humans are equal.
4).The ideal religion(the ideal religion is that which does not include caste difference,etc)
5).The path to god(Without the help of a Guru, none can cross the ocean to the other shore. His grace shall remove delusion and illumine your path to divine)
