A plant tissue can be defined as a cell or a group of cells dividing, to. give rise to large number of cell, which is collectively referred as tissues. They are structurally and functionally similar to these cells.

Phloem transfer prepare Food from leaves to different parts of plant .

Xylem transfer raw materials like water, minerals, etc from root

The tissue present in plants called plant tissue. There are two types of plant tissue.
1. Meristematic tissue.
2. Permanent tissue.


Meristematic tissue -
This type of tissue present in growing part of plants. They have ability to divide.

Cells are small nd thin walled.

Vacuole are very small or absent.

Nucleus is large, no intracellular space present.



They are divided into three parts ( apical, lateral nd intercalary me meristematic tissue).



Permanent tissue -
It store food material.

It play important role in photosynthesis

They are divided into two parts ( simple ns complex tissue)
