SI = P×R×T/100

Rs280 = 56000×x×2/100

Rs280 = 560×2x

280/ 560 = 2x

1/2 = 2x

1/2×2=x

1/4 = x

0.25 = x

: Required Answer

➝ Given

➢ P = ₹ 56000,

➢ SI = ₹ 280,

➢ t = 2 years.

➝ Find

The rate of interest

➝ Solution

We know that,

➢ R = (100 × SI) / (P × T)

= (100 × 280)/ (56000 × 2)

= (1 × 28) / (56 × 2)

= (1 × 14) / (56 × 1)

= (1 × 1) / (4 × 1)

= (1/ 4)

= 0.25%

Hence Rate of interest (R) = 0.25 % Pa
