Case 1

When the shuttle is in the air it is opposed by its friction due to which it slows down and starts falling due to which the other player is able to hit it.

Case 2

when the shuttle reaches you you pick up your racket quickly but it's movement is opposed by the fiction of air due to which your movement is slowed down and can result in you missing to hit.

Case 3

If the shuttle is thrown in a direction very far away from where you are you run to hit it back. But this motion is opposed by the friction of the ground. If your shoes have a lot of grip you may also miss the shot.

Case 4

When you hit the shuttle with a lot of force it overcomes the friction and can result in falling far away from the court. This can make you loose a point

those are all I can think of

I hope it helps ☺️
