Friction is defined as the the resistance that one object or surface encounters when moving over another.
Friction is a vey useful force. It helps in writing, walking, running, etc.
As we know that it is a resisting force, so it also helps in cutting of wood. When a wood is chopped, it creates a friction which cause the wood to chop. It is not possible to chop the wood without the help of friction.
