Friction is a opposing force that opposes the motion of a moving object. It actd tangential to the direction of motion of the object.
Example:Frictional force helps us to walk.
When we walk we tend to push the ground with the help of our feet backwards. But the ground provides a forward reaction to our feet due to the Frictional force of the ground. Thus we are able to walk.
